Alan Peaford is a former actor and an award-winning journalist with strong ties to the Middle East and Africa.

He held senior editorial positions to launch Arab Times in Kuwait and Gulf Daily News in Bahrain and spent eight years in communications management with BP before becoming managing director of publicly quoted global PR firm and then leading a buyout of that company’s communications division which became Trident Communications, a corporate communication consultancy and publisher with offices around the world, including Dubai.

He sold that company to follow his passion for aviation that was developed while acting as consultant editor to Flightglobal’s Flight Daily News and Airline Business Daily News and wrote the now “industry bible” Flight Pocket Guide to Business Aircraft which today is in its 11th annual edition

In 2009 he launched Arabian Aerospace with the Times Group and in 2013 launched African Aerospace.

He is five-times winner of an Aerospace Journalist of the Year award and in 2014 he was given the Lifetime Achievement Award at a global aerospace media dinner at the Royal Aeronautical Society. He has been awarded a European Diploma of Honour for services to workplace communications and in 2013 he was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Queen Elizabeth II.
